Don’t Press Send: A Mindful Approach to Social Media, an Education in Cyber Civics, is a must read for anyone who interacts with today’s technologically-dependent children. Offering insight from the author, Katie Duffy Schumacher, the book is based on her decades of field work as the founder of the Don’t Press Send Campaign, mentoring and speaking to school-aged children about their experience navigating technology. Katie is a New York State certified teacher who founded Don’t Press Send in her hometown of Rockville Centre, NY. “Mama Schu,” as she is often referred to, saw the pressing need and acted on behalf of today’s children to create a kinder and safer online community. Katie is dedicated to helping today’s children, adolescents, and adults embrace the benefits of technology while avoiding its pitfalls.
